to Reggear Outfitters a small family-run outfitting
business that was established in 1996. Travis and Michelle
Reggear started their business because they had quality hounds
and they wanted to give their children and family the ability to live
and follow their dreams in north central Idaho. Travis has been hunting
hounds since he was 12 years old. He began guiding hunters when he
was 18, the first year he could get a guides license. He has lived
in Idaho his entire life and is an expert on the animals and terrain
in which he operates his business in. Travis hires only first-rate
guides who have years of experience, top -notch hounds and quality
first-rate equipment. Reggear Outfitters offers spring and fall Black bear hunts. Spring season being May 1st through May 31 with hounds. This is a short season which allows the black bear to reach trophy age and size. June through July there is a pursuit season that offers the ability for photography trips. has had predation on elk herds. In the fall, the Black bear season
is from September 15th through October 9th. This is when the bears
are really on the gain due to all the wild fruit they have consumed.
This is the time of year that yields the biggest bears. Working with
Mike and Belinda Stockton of Idaho Whitetail Adventures, Travis also
offers Archery/Rifle deer, elk and fall black bear combination hunts.
Mt. Lion Hunts are from December 1 through March 31st. Reggear Outfitters
take a small number of hunters each year. By keeping hunters numbers
down to a minimum, more lions are left behind and the hunter’s
success rate is high. All Black Bear and Mt. Lion hunts with Reggear Outfitters are on a one-on-one basis at affordable rates. Elk and Deer hunts are set-up on a two-on-one basis. Most of the elk and deer hunts are tree-stand hunts but some stalk hunting is implemented. The following is included in the price of the hunts: A trip to and from the Lewiston airport; meals; lodging; full trophy preparation; transportation of meat to local processor. Travis Reggear
