Reggear Outfitters offers spring and fall black bear hunts. Spring season being May 1st through May 31 with hunting hounds. This is a short season which allows the black bear to reach trophy age and size. June through July there is a pursuit season that offers the ability for photography trips. June also offers the hunter to hunt black bear over bait. Reggear Outfitters works with other professional outfitters to hunt Black Bear in areas were the Idaho Department of Fish and Game has had predation on elk herds. In the fall, the black bear season is from September 15th through October 9th. This is when the bears are really on the gain due to all the wild fruit they have consumed. This is the time of year that yields the biggest bears. Mountain lion hunts are from December 1 through March 31st. Reggear Outfitters take a small number of hunters each year. By keeping hunters numbers down to a minimum, more mountain lions are left behind and the hunter's success rate is high.
